Head on this 4-day hike starting off the trail with a walking safari spotting buffaloes, giraffes, baboons, Before getting soaked up with this beautiful but strenuous trail enjoying the best views of the Kilimanjaro. Unlike the 3 days, you will have more time to rest your legs & acclimatize you will also overnight in huts this hike is mostly done to pre acclimatize.

Day 1 : Pick up from the airport
Mt Meru
On this day you will be picked up from the airport either the Kilimanjaro or Arusha airport, will then drive to Tulia spa & boutique hotel once you arrive & settled in, your guide will arrive briefly after to brief you on the hike, what to expect day by day as well as checking if you have all necessary gears for the hike.
Accommodation:
Day 2 : Arusha to the Ngongongare gate, then Trek to Miriakamba Huts
Mt Meru
You will be picked up from your accommodation and transferred to the main gate of Arusha national park, Ngongongare. After completing the paperwork, you will start your hike with a walking safari escorted by a park ranger on the way to Momela gate where your treks begin on the way to the first hut through Momela gate.

Day 3 : Trek to Saddle Huts
Mt Meru
Soon after your breakfast, the steepness of the landscape continues as you get higher, and the vegetation pattern and weather also change dramatically. And at this point, you will be able to see the pick of Kilimanjaro on the eastern side.
The trail will take you to a saddle hut near the summit, where you stay overnight.

Day 4 : Summit attempt, Later descend back to the Hut
Mt Meru
Today will be dedicated to the summiting attempt at the peak of Mount Meru. the trail will pass through the steep ridge uphill where you will be required to trek slowly until the peak is reached. Reach the top, enjoy the sunrise, take more photos, and celebrate. Later descend again to the mariakamba hut overnight.

Day 5 : Descend to the main gate and drive back to Arusha/Mosh
Mt Meru
This will be the final day in Mount Merur, take a short and fast descent way through open grassland and mixed forest, with a possibility of seeing wildlife before reaching Momella Gate in the late morning. A certificate will be rewarded to those who attempt the summit.
