This tour provides a glimpse of the best parks in Tanzania. Not only does it provide you with the best spots to see the big five but also a closer encounter with the wild. You will explore the best Northern zone Parks and enjoy the beauties found in these Parks. From Tarangire the home of Elephants all the way to Serengeti and Ngorongoro homes of the “big five”.

Tour Plan

After a short briefing in the morning, you will be taken to the Tarangire National Park. The park with its endless tree Savannah including the impressive baobab trees and seasonal marshes is also home to the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania. In addition to elephants, you are also likely to spot giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, gnus, and other types of antelopes and gazelles. Upon arrival at the park, your guide will open the roof of the vehicle and the extensive wildlife viewing will begin. Lunch will be taken at a picnic spot and in the afternoon you will get to see more of this amazing and beautiful park. In the late afternoon, you will arrive at the recommended accommodation outside of the park for your overnight stay and dinner.

After breakfast you will depart towards the Rift Valley, passing through Mto Wa Mbu and Karatu, in the cooler regions of the crater highlands. You will enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stop for a short look into the crater from a viewing point. Continuing your journey around the crater, you will descend the other side, enjoying your free “African massage” on the bumpy road, passing Masai villages on your way to the Serengeti National Park. At the Naabi Hill entrance gate you can walk to a viewpoint with spectacular views across the plains of the Serengeti Savannah. You will then continue towards the Seronera Area in the central part of the Serengeti. The park offers a multitude of wildlife including the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. Later in the afternoon, you will arrive at the recommended campsite. Lunch will be enjoyed en-route.

A morning game drive at Serengeti National Park, all three biggest cats are easily seen, lions are everywhere and are often found on a kill, cheetahs are very common in the Southeastern Plains, a leopard can often be found lazing in big trees along the Seronera River. Great heard of buffalo, small groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala, and grants gazelle are resident of Serengeti by any time of the year, later after lunch, you will drive in the direction of Ngorongoro crater, As soon as you have reached the edge of the crater, you will have a remarkable view of this impressive natural wonder. Dinner and overnight stay at the recommended campsite.

After smelling early morning coffee all your senses will be involved and experiencing the thrill of kill to chill of a morning game drive, estimated 7000 wildebeest, 4000 zebras, 3000 elands, 3000 gazelles, 600 hyenas, 200-300 elephants, over 60 lions, 30 rhinos and many other, in all over 25000 wild creatures call the Ngorongoro Crater home. For friends of winged ones, look no further, within this caldera you will find 500 bird species, ostriches, Kory bastards, secretary bird, and more other. Visit from November to April and witness the Myriad migratory bird that takes up residence here, Indigenous tribes are permitted to live in a conservation area and local Masai graze their livestock in the crater floor in harmony with nearby heard of buffalo and wildebeest. Lunch will be enjoyed en-route, later in the late afternoon drive back to Arusha.
